Welcome to Creative Kids Holiday Art & Golf Camps, held at the stunning Penha Longa Resort and our second location, Quinta do Peru. Founded two years ago by Carla Slater and later joined by Patrik Vestlund, our camps offer a unique blend of artistic exploration and golf skills development, providing children with an unforgettable summer experience. Children can choose to focus on art, golf, or enjoy a combination of both—creating a program that suits their interests and lets their talents shine.
Art Program
At Creative Kids Holiday Camps, our Art Program, led by Carla Slater, is designed to spark imagination and build confidence through hands-on creative exploration. Each week features a fun and exciting new theme that introduces children to a variety of artistic techniques and styles, using high-quality materials. Along the way, they also discover art history and cultural traditions from around the world.
Children are encouraged to express their own ideas in a safe and supportive environment, while also being gently guided to succeed in their projects. By the end of the week, each child takes home a collection of beautiful, finished artwork—proud reflections of their creativity and growth.

Golf Program
At Creative Kids Holiday Camps, our Golf Program is led by two experienced PGA Professionals, Tiago Cruz and Susana Ribeiro, with additional support from camp leader Patrik Vestlund. Together, they create a fun, welcoming, and skill-building environment where children can learn the fundamentals of golf in a way that’s approachable and engaging.
Through small group sessions on the beautiful course, children are introduced to the basics of grip, stance, swing, and putting, while also learning key values like patience, focus, and sportsmanship. Whether it's a child’s first time holding a club or they’re ready to refine their skills, the program is tailored to meet each child at their level.
With expert instruction, plenty of encouragement, and a focus on fun, our golf program gives children the chance to build confidence, enjoy the outdoors, and develop a lifelong appreciation for the game.
