About

Creative Kids was founded with a simple idea — to create a space where children can explore, create, and feel confident being themselves.

Based at Penha Longa Resort, our camps offer a unique mix of creativity, movement, and hands-on learning in a beautiful and inspiring setting.

We believe children learn best when they are engaged, supported, and given the freedom to explore. Our approach balances structure with creativity — combining high-quality teaching with a relaxed, positive environment where children feel comfortable to try new things.

Our Story

Creative Kids was founded by Carla Slater, an experienced educator and Visual Arts teacher, and is run alongside Patrik Vestlund, who brings strong leadership and a hands-on approach to creating a positive, well-organised camp environment.

Together, they combine a background in education, creativity, and programme development with a shared focus on creating meaningful experiences for children.

Our Approach

At Creative Kids, we focus on the whole child.

We aim to:

  • Build confidence and independence

  • Encourage creativity and curiosity

  • Support social development and teamwork

  • Create a space where children feel safe, valued, and inspired

Our programmes are designed to be hands-on and engaging, allowing children to learn through doing — whether they are creating, building, or playing.
